Preamble & acceptance

Vahini Technologies (hereinafter "Vahini" or "we"), a registered partnership firm in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, is pleased about your visit to this Website and your interest in our products. Vahini maintains this Website, its subdomains and the information, software and material contained on it (together, the "Content").

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the Website. By accessing the Website or browsing its pages you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website. Your use of personal data is governed separately by our Data Privacy Statement.

1 · Intellectual property & scope of use

Unless otherwise stated, all copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Content of this Website (text, images, graphics, illustrations, animations, video, sound and design) belong to Vahini Technologies or to the suppliers named on the Website, and are protected by the Copyright Act, 1957 and other applicable intellectual property laws.

You may access the Website for personal, non-commercial use and print its pages for that purpose. Any further use (copying, dissemination, alteration, framing, or commercial use of text, images or data) requires our prior written consent.

Open source is the stated exception. The source code of the Vahini handwriting analyser is published under the GNU AGPL-3.0 licence, and third-party components we use (fonts, libraries, models) remain under their own licences. For those, the respective licence, not this section, governs; the full inventory is on our Licenses & attribution page. Publishing source code does not license our brand, our data or our patent.

Trademarks and patent. "Vahini", the Vahini seal logo and the design elements of this Website are trademarks or trade dress of Vahini Technologies (trademark applications filed across classes 9, 16, 38 and 42). The dual-IMU sensing technology is protected by Indian Patent No. 584433, with further applications pending. Access to this Website grants no licence or right to use any Vahini trademark, service mark, patent or design element, and none may be used, including as a hyperlink, without our prior written permission. Third-party marks mentioned on the Website belong to their respective owners.

2 · The analyser is informational, not professional advice

The Vahini analyser and its 20-factor reports are educational tools, not medical, psychological, educational-diagnostic or legal advice. Reports describe measurable properties of a handwriting sample. They do not diagnose any condition, and we make no diagnostic claims. Decisions about a child's education, health or therapy must be made with qualified professionals.

Scores depend on image quality, script and writing conditions, and models improve over time; two scans of the same page may differ. Use reports as one input among many, not as a verdict.

3 · Your uploads stay yours

You retain all rights in the handwriting pages and other material you upload. By uploading, you grant Vahini the limited licence needed to operate the service: to process the material to generate your report and store it so you can retrieve it. Any further use (model training, research, the motion dataset) happens only with your separate, explicit consent, as described in the Data Privacy Statement. Upload only material you have the right to submit; do not upload another person's handwriting without their permission (or their guardian's, for a child).

4 · Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • disrupt, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its APIs or infrastructure, or bypass technical or rate limits;
  • scrape, harvest or bulk-download Content, reports or dataset material, or use the Website to build a competing dataset;
  • upload malicious code, unlawful material, or content that infringes another person's rights;
  • misrepresent analyser output as a medical or official assessment, or use it to discriminate unlawfully against any person;
  • use our name, marks or Content to imply endorsement we have not given in writing.

We may suspend or block access that violates these terms, and nothing here limits rights the AGPL-3.0 grants you in the analyser's source code.

5 · Limitation of liability

The Content of the Website is non-binding information provided with the greatest possible care, but "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vahini accepts no liability or warranty for the Content being uninterrupted, error-free, complete, current, of a particular quality, free from third-party rights or free from viruses, nor for loss of data, loss of profit, or indirect or consequential damage arising from use of the Website.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or wilful misconduct. Statements on this Website about future products, markets or figures, including the investor materials, whose numbers are illustrative, are forward-looking, provided for information only, and are neither an offer of securities nor a solicitation of investment.

6 · Changes to the services

Vahini reserves the right to amend, suspend or discontinue, partially or completely, the services provided on this Website at any time without prior notice, including the free availability of the analyser. Where you have a separate written agreement with us (for example a pilot, licence or pre-order), that agreement prevails over this section for its subject matter.

The Website contains links to third-party websites (for example research papers, news articles and partner sites). Vahini has no influence over and accepts no responsibility for content created or published on such websites or for products and services offered there. A link does not imply that Vahini endorses the website or its offerings.

8 · Amendments to these terms

Vahini reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. Continued use of the Website after an amendment constitutes acceptance of the amended terms; if you do not accept them, please stop using the Website.

9 · Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms of Use and any dispute arising from the use of this Website are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory statutory jurisdiction, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
