Every handwritten page has two layers: the ink you see, and the motion that made it. Cameras only capture the first. Vahini captures the second, turning ordinary handwriting into a measurable signal.

Our insight

The invisible stroke.

A camera can photograph a finished page. It cannot see hesitation, writing flow, pressure or confidence, those signals vanish the moment the stroke is finished. That motion is the richest part of handwriting, and it is invisible to every tool built around a lens. We built a pen that feels it, and a software layer that turns the signal into coaching, accessibility, digitisation and screening. The handwriting analyser is live today; the rest we are building in the open, labelled honestly.

How it started

From a real barrier to a research mission.

It began in May 2023 with one question: could technology preserve the natural act of writing while making it more accessible?

People already write on ordinary paper. We meet them there, no tablet, no special notebook, instead of asking them to change.

The motion data is the moat. We gather it consent-first, with zero image retention in the demo, because the asset is only worth it built the right way.
